E-Certificates: Strategy, Fees, and Policy

The COVID-19 crisis had hit the travel, tourism, and events industries in unimaginable ways. The viability of your business depends on making difficult decisions and finding some way to generate revenue. A robust E-Certificate strategy is the best immediate way to mitigate losses and generate some revenue. To help better serve you and your guests, we’re also adjusting the fee policy for E-Certificates at EzTix.

Our New Fee Policy

Any bookings or tickets using the Refund to E-Cert option in your account now covers the full booking value, including ticket fees. This means your guests won’t incur a new booking fee when they return to buy new tickets. We believe this is the right policy, especially for these loyal guests who understand refunds can be devastating right now. This is a permanent policy change at EzTix, and will not expire as travel and tourism bounces back.

E-Certificate Refunds

As many of you have already begun to do, we encourage all EzTix Partners to prioritize refunds to an E-Certificate instead of the original payment method. Our Support Centre agents are helping on this front as much as possible, but you can help too! Using your communications and social media tools, let your guests know they can help your business by taking an E-Certificate to use on a future tour where possible.
