New Feature: Pay in Your Own Currency in EzBook

Last Updated January 02, 2018

Usually I’m not a fan of acronyms, but PYOC makes me think of BYOB!

In all seriousness, Pay in Your Own Currency helps improve the online experience for your international guests.

Expenses when you’re travelling are always a bit of a mystery when you pull out the credit card. Varying exchange rates and added fees can mean a big surprise on a bill, but worse, the fear of that surprise can scare away bookings altogether.

How does it work?
We take a look at the IP address of your users when they open up EzBook, and match their country to the appropriate currency. We handle the math between the ticket price in your local currency and that of your guest.  Your payouts stay exactly the same, and your guest knows what will show up on their bill.

Guests can use the handy dropdown option to change up the currency if they need to.

Will my reports change?
Nope! You’ll continue to see your sales reports as if every booking was made in the currency you do business in. Keeping it nice and “Ez”.

Which currencies are supported?

We’re adding more all the time, but currently 13 currencies around the world are ready for your guests.  US Dollars, Australian Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Swiss Francs, Danish Krone, Euros, British Pounds, Hong Kong Dollars, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krona, Singapore Dollars, and South African Rand.
