Donating Gift Cards to Local Charities
Last Updated September 27, 2017
So you’d like to donate a few tickets to a great cause, but what are the best ways to do it without breaking out the credit card or trying to track it manually? E-Certificates or discount codes offer great ways to help out local charities with raffle prizes or other incentives, and each offers their own benefits. Let’s break em’ down.
One of the great things about creating a discount code is customizations! Valued at any amount for as many uses as you’d like, codes can be personalized to reflect your charity. A raffle prize at a hospital fundraiser could be set at “HospitalHope” to keep it memorable and remind your new guest of the cause you’ve supported. In EzTix, discount codes can also be specific to certain experiences, days of the week, or date range. You may want to create a card or certificate for your discount code so it shows off nicely.
An E-Certificate requires very little prep work to create and offer your guests the most flexibility. Simply load up much as you would like onto the e-cert and guests can redeem on any of the experiences you offer. Remaining balances can be used at a future date, or given to a friend after a rave word of mouth review! In EzTix, we suggest creating a discount code to actually ‘purchase’ your E-Certificate and automatically send it off to the organization you’d like to support or directly to the guest who’s won the big prize. While the codes themselves can’t be customized like a discount code, they certainly look great when sent automatically from EzTix via email
Two great options for you to support local causes you believe in while inviting new friends on to your experiences.
