5 Must See Arival Sessions for Tours

Last Updated February 13, 2019

As a tour operator, you may feel sometimes a bit left out in the cold when it comes to international travel conferences. Your needs are very different than those of hotels, airlines, or large scale event producers. Thankfully, we have Arival.

Only a few years old, Arival is all about creating brilliant in-destination experiences.  We first attended their conference in Las Vegas and were truly blown away. Not only is it incredibly fun to attend, the main theater sessions are simply not to be missed. You’ll see panels featuring CEOs from the largest online travel agencies, to activity operators setting trends around the globe.

Arival heads to Europe for the first time March 4th and 5th, and EzTix is delighted to once again participate as a sponsor. We’ll have members of our team there, so look out for the EzGreen lanyards and say hello!

Ok, enough about us. Let’s talk about the sessions in Berlin every tour and activity operator simply cannot afford to miss.

What Your Customers Want: Exclusive Traveler Research from Arival

The best way to make decisions is armed with up to date, accurate data. With exclusive new research on Europe’s millennial and rising Gen Z travelers, Arival’s Co-founder and CEO, Douglas Quinby, will be taking to the big stage. He’ll show you what they’ve learned about how these travelers are shopping and the guest experience they’re after.

The Distribution Debate: Operators & OTAs

Major online travel agencies have been making big moves over the last couple of years, changing the way you distribute your tickets and how much it costs. This roundtable gives you chance to hear from, and ask questions of, CEOs from Tiqets, City Wonders, and a TripAdvisor director. As they suggest on Arival’s site, don’t be shy.

Sustainability That Sells

This is a subject near and dear to my heart. Whatever we can all do to lessen our footprint in the travel industry is effort well worth making. This session talks developments that can help you and your guests support local communities, rather than strain. We love you, Earth.

A Different Kind of Culinary

With the number of foodie based experiences we Partner with, I’ll guess this one could very well top your list. The co-founder of the app, Eatwith, will take the stage for this session.  Camille Rumani will look into the future to see what culinary travelers will want from you next.

The Tour Operator of the Future

Three different tour operators will take part in this roundtable, talking about guest demands and the technology you rely upon to run your business. If you feel like everything is changing at breakneck speed, you’re right, so it’s best be on top of what’s coming next.

Check out this page on Arival’s site for more on the other sessions. I’ll admit, I had a hard time limiting my list to just 5.
